The organization of any complex arrangement hinges on the interplay of seemingly haphazard individual events.

This is why I work late.

10:04pm - Thin (Citrix) server is down. Can't remote it. I can ping it however. I can't see anything else about it. I'll listen to Counting Crows and IM while fighting this fowl demon. 10:26pm - "Fuck you keyboard error. You're mom is a keyboard error. The fucking thing is plugged in." 10:45pm - I can get into safe mode. Wierd. Any attempt to boot normally and the server hard locks at the login screen. I'll keep digging... 11:30pm - I can boot into normal windows now but after an intermittent amount of time the server takes a fat shit. Nothing in the event log to tell me why. This is going to take a while. Time to brew some coffee. Everyone needs some hot coffi in 'em from time to time. ;) 2:14am - After much turmoil I've found the problem. There was a corrupt print job that was killing the RPC service. I deleted the jobs and now everything is kosher. I haven't seen that happen in years. Weird.
